STRATEGIC GOALS 2005 - 2010

At the May 23, 2005 Board of Education meeting the School Board Members adopted a 5-year Strategic Goals Plan for District 68 (2005-2010). The process of formulating and communicating the District Strategic Goals Statements began in October 2004 and involved a wide variety of stakeholders in our community.

Goal Outcome Statement 1 - Improve Community Involvement.

Strategic Goal 1 By June 2010, the District will develop, implement and evaluate a plan to increase parent outreach opportunities to all demographic groups and to increase community involvement in the educational process.

Goal Outcome Statement 2 - Improve Student Instructional Programs and Services.

Strategic Goal 2 By June 2010, the District will develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive plan to improve instructional programs and services for all students on the continuum from at-risk to gifted.

Goal Outcome Statement 3 - Improve, Integrate, and Share District Technology.

Strategic Goal 3 By June 2010, the District will develop, implement and evaluate a plan to comprehensively integrate technology into the curriculum, systematically upgrade District hardware and software and effectively improve access to technology by students, staff, and the community.

Goal Outcome Statement 4 - Attract a Quality, Diverse Staff.

Strategic Goal 4 By June 2010, the District will develop, implement and evaluate an aggressive plan to maintain the existing quality of staff and recruit staff which more closely reflects the diversity of our population.
