Excerpt from the Parent Handbook:

SCHOOL CLOSING

During the school year, our schools face the possibility of being closed for a day or two due to an emergency, failure of the heating plant or hazardous road conditions caused by a severe snow storm.

The school district now has the capability of having a recorded phone message delivered to all parents, guardians, and staff in emergency situations through the use of a Voice REACH service.  This phone message will be utilized for school closing information.

This phone message service will be used to supplement the notifications that are braodcast by the news media and are also available on the School district Website http://www.woodridge68.org/

Parents need to be aware of the radio stations to which they should stay tuned to learn of school closings due to severe weather conditions. In such cases parents should not send their youngsters to school.

If it becomes necessary for schools to remain closed for more than one day, the procedure will be reported each day.

Parents are requested to tune to any of the following TV or radio stations between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.:

When classes are canceled, other after school and evening activities are also canceled.
