Welcome to Woodridge School District 68


Woodridge District 68 is located approximately 25 miles from downtown Chicago in south central DuPage County. The District serves 33,253 residents (2004 Village of Woodridge Special Census) that includes most of Woodridge and portions of Bolingbrook, Downers Grove, and Lisle within 8 square miles.

Since incorporation in 1959, Woodridge has grown from 459 residents to a community of over 33,000 people. Woodridge District 68 schools have grown with the town. Originally settled as a farming community, Woodridge is one of the most economically strong and diverse communities in the Chicagoland region. The town has been identified as one of the Top 100 Small Commmunities by Money magazine which can partially be owed to the quality of its schools.

Woodridge School District 68 was also recently awarded the Bright Red Apple Award by School Search Inc. It is a school district with a well defined Tradition of Excellence.

The center of Woodridge is community oriented.  You will find parks, bicycle paths and nature to enjoy.  Founding fathers required that the center of the town be left for leisure and the enjoyment of its residents.
