Greetings Meadowview families!

It has been such a joy these last few months to be the principal of Meadowview! Our students and family have been wonderfully generous! We had bags and bags for the food pantry and the local animal shelter. One of our students also had a great outpouring for his backpack program! We are very fortunate indeed!

I am hoping you are finding time to enjoy family, friends, and of course books this winter break! You may not have noticed yet, our Little Free Library has been installed! You'll have to check it out next time you are at Meadowview! It is to the left of the main entrance. Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world. Through Little Free Libraries, millions of books are exchanged each year, profoundly increasing access to books for readers of all ages and backgrounds. Our Little Free Library was built for us as an Eagle Scout project by Jon Silkaitis, Troop 80, of Downers Grove, Illinois. We certainly are grateful for his contribution to our community! There are already books in the library. Give one, take one is the way it works! If you have a book you'd like to share, place it in the library. If you see a book you'd like to read, take it! Pretty simple!

If you ever have questions, concerns, or comments, please be sure to send me an email, give me a call, or come talk with me!

Have a wonderful New Year!
