Library Cards and Resource Access
- All persons who reside within the corporate boundaries of the Village of Woodridge are entitled to a Woodridge library card at no cost. One piece of current identification showing name and an address within the corporate boundaries of Woodridge is required.
- There is no age minimum for a library card. A parent or legal guardian must sign for and accept responsibility for the use of library materials by children under the age of 14.
Specific information, including policies for non-residents, about borrowing, loan periods, fines and fees will be found on the Library’s website and at the Circulation Desk.
Students who live outside Woodridge and who attend District #68 schools may participate in Children’s programs at Woodridge Library, but a valid card from their home library is required.
Students who attend District #68 and have valid library cards from other towns should visit the Woodridge Library’s Circulation desk with a parent or guardian to establish borrowing privileges.
Regarding non-resident Internet access, a parent or guardian with a valid ID is required to sign an Internet User Agreement at Woodridge Library before a child can access computers in the Children’s Department.
Students 12 years of age and older are directed to the Adult/Young Adult Reference Desk (630-487-2577) for further information on Internet access.
Our Circulation Desk and Children’s Department staff would be happy to help you with library card or program participation questions. Please stop by or call us for more help!
