Engaging on social media

  • The Woodridge School District 68’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts are meant to be another source of information to the community, as well as a place for the district to engage with its stakeholders. Information posted from Woodridge 68 will be direct, open and honest; we expect the same in return. We welcome the opportunity to hear from you and encourage your participation.

At the same time, we expect that the people who use our pages exercise civility and common sense when posting comments to our pages. We hope comments posted on a page will be respectful, factual and constructive. Please remember that your comments can be viewed by many people in our community and are considered to be in the public domain. While the district does not want to limit the opinions or comments of its community members, certain types of comments will not be tolerated.

Personal insults against any individual will be deleted, as will posts that violate the privacy of others or depending on the platform, Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, Twitter’s Terms of Service or YouTube’s Terms of Service. Examples include unauthorized commercial solicitations; posts that bully, intimidate, or harass; content that is hateful, threatening, pornographic, or contains violence; or any post that is unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory. If more than one post by the same individual must be deleted, the District reserves the right to block that individual from the page.
