After School Programming

Elementary

  • Woodridge School District 68 offers after school programming to provide additional enrichment and intervention opportunities for students. Three sessions are held throughout the school year.

Programming is held at each elementary school three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) from 3:00-4:00pm. Each school will develop three courses per session based on student needs, and class sizes will be limited as determined by the school principal.

Bussing will be provided for students who are current bus riders only. Students who do not take a bus to school on a daily basis will need to be transported home from school via a parent or guardian.

For more details about the programming offered at your school, please contact the school directly.

Junior High

  • Woodridge School District 68 provides both intramural sports and interscholastic activities for all children in grades 7 and 8. Participation of elementary students is permitted if all eligibility requirements are met as detailed in the Jefferson Junior High School Athletic Handbook, which is posted on the school’s website. However, preference will be given to junior high students if talent is judged to be equal. The coach of each sport will be the sole judge. Thomas Jefferson Junior High is a member of the Southeast DuPage Elementary Athletic Association (SDEAA) and competes or participates in all 10 sports/activities offered.

In addition to intramural and interscholastic activities, junior high students have the opportunity to participate in several extracurricular groups, clubs, and activities throughout the school year. New clubs and groups are considered when enough students express an interest in a particular subject area.

After School Activities Hotline

  • Students in Woodridge School District 68 have many opportunities to participate in after-school activities to enrich their academic experience. These students do leave the school building after the office has closed for the day, which can sometimes make it difficult for parents to reach school staff when a transportation issue may arise. Student safety is a priority and the district recognizes this potential for missed communications. To alleviate this and ensure parents can reach the school, Woodridge 68 has established an after school activities hotline.
