Dear Edgewood Families:
If you are new to our school or just finding this page, I would like to share a little about myself, as Principal of Edgewood.
I grew up and attended schools in Oak Park, IL. During the time that I lived in Oak Park, I also had very unique opportunities to pursue my talents in the area of dance and had the privilege of attending dance schools in Chicago and Germany.
I still enjoy dance and theater, but my true passion and dedication lie in education. To help achieve my lifetime goal as an educator, I attended Valparaiso University for my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and earned my Master's degree in Education Leadership at the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign.
My teaching and leadership experiences have included the pleasure of working with students in elementary schools since 1988. As part of the Danville, IL and Champaign, IL school systems, I taught 1st, 2nd and 4th grades, Reading Recovery and Literature Skills (K-5). I was also a Coordinator of Student Services. I was a part of the Naperville #203 School District for six years in the roles of Instructional Coordinator and Assistant Principal, before coming to Woodridge 68.
Personally, I am an avid sports fan and always cheer on the Chicago Cubs and Bears! My husband and I live in Naperville, and we get great joy from our young Golden Retriever named Archer.
This is my 33rd year in public education and my thirteenth year as Principal of the Edgewood School community.
If you have questions or feedback regarding our academic and/or social-emotional learning programs, you can reach me by phone at 630-795-6000, or by email.
