Community Links
Village of Woodridge
Rich in natural beauty, Woodridge is situated on the high ground overlooking the DuPage River and populated by heavy stands of oaks and maples. The first residents of this area were the Potawatomi Indians; however, by the early 1800s, the Indians left the area with the large influx of settlers. Woodridge was incorporated as a Village on August 24, 1959, with a population of about 459 residents.
Woodridge Park District
Founded in 1969, the Woodridge Park District serves approximately 35,500 residents, offers more than 1,000 programs each year, and maintains five facilities and 60 community and neighborhood parks and sites, woodlands, wetlands, bikeways and open space totaling 655 acres. Facilities include the ARC, Cypress Cove Family Aquatic Park, Village Greens Golf Course and the Community Center.
Athletic Recreation Center (ARC)
Fitness and sports for everyone. The ARC is owned and operated by the Woodridge Park District.
