Student library cards

Unlock a world of learning

Woodridge School District 68 and Woodridge Public Library have teamed up to provide every student with a FREE library card! This exciting partnership ensures that all students in grades K-8 can access books, digital resources, and learning tools—both at school and at home.

What's in it for your child?

Instant Access – Thousands of books, magazines, e-books, and educational resources.

Always Available – Cards are linked to student ID numbers, so they can’t be lost!

Seamless Learning – Use at school, at home, or at the library.

No Cost to Families – 100% FREE for all Woodridge 68 students.

How it works

New to the library? Students will receive a physical and virtual library card automatically as part of new student registration (with parent/guardian permission).

Already have a card? We’ll update your account and link it to your student’s ID for easy use!

Live outside Woodridge? WPL will help connect your child to a local library for access to books and resources.

Why it matters

Studies show that children who use libraries perform better in school, develop stronger reading habits, and discover a lifelong love of learning. Let’s work together to give every child the tools they need to succeed!

What do you need to do?

Give consent during new student registration – it’s that easy! Once your child is enrolled in Woodridge 68, the permission rolls over from year to year.

Encourage your child to explore the library’s amazing resources.
