This website is a great resource to find a wealth of information, including Jefferson's daily announcements and calendar of events.

Peachjar

Woodridge 68 delivers district and school information and approved flyers from community organizations electronically through a service called Peachjar. School-approved eflyers will be emailed directly to you. Additionally, you can view these eflyers by clicking the Peachjar button on the home page of Jefferson’s website and the district app.

E-Blast

This is a weekly email that will typically be sent on Fridays. The e-blast will include the following week’s important events and information. Further, it will include attachments with important documents and links to webpages, forms, and necessary curricular information.

Online Reporting

Report cards and up-to-date student progress are available to parents and guardians through Parent Portal. Grades will be updated within approximately one week of summative assessments.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-teacher conferences are a great way to get to know your child’s teacher and be a partner in your child’s success. Conferences are held in the fall and winter each year. Check the district and school calendar for exact dates and times. Information about conferences will be communicated in advance. Sign-up for conferences is done through Parent Portal.

Teachers

Individual teachers will communicate throughout the year in a variety of ways which may include: phone calls, emails, progress reports, requiring signatures on important assignments and tests, newsletters, and/or personal websites and blogs.

The Student Services team (SST) strives to help all students feel comfortable and supported in the academic environment. The team works with students on personal improvement in areas such as decision making, prosocial behaviors, and motivation to learn. With collaboration from parents and teachers, the SST creates an environment that will cater to a student’s individual needs and help them achieve personal success in the classroom.

Additionally, the team responds to a wide variety of social, emotional, and behavioral issues including familial/personal crises and peer related issues, through the use of both group and individual support. The team assists in the achievement and development of all students in order to promote college and career readiness.

The Student Services Team is available to students throughout the school day. Students can stop in the office before/after school, during lunch, or with a pass from teachers. They are also available for consultation with parents. Please contact them with any concerns, questions, or needs.

Woodridge Public Library

Woodridge School District 68 and Woodridge Public Library have teamed up to provide every student with a FREE library card! This exciting partnership ensures that all students in grades K-8 can access books, digital resources, and learning tools—both at school and at home. Students will receive a physical and virtual library card automatically as part of new student registration (with parent/guardian permission). Learn more about this W68-WPL partnership

Woodridge Park District

Jefferson Junior High and the Woodridge Park District share facilities and equipment, and provide services to the same students. The school and park district collaborate on hands-on learning experiences. A recent example of this includes students helping the park district with planting 64 native trees and 200 saplings at Jubilee Point Park to boost biodiversity, create more habitat and food for native wildlife, and support the vision laid out in the Jubilee Point Park Natural Area Improvement Plan.

Woodridge Police Department

Jefferson Junior High School shares a cooperative relationship with the Woodridge Police Department. Through our relationship and police visibility at JJH, students have learned that police officers are beneficial community members. Because of this positive ongoing relationship, a police car is often seen in front of the school building.
