Learning Resource Center (LRC)
The Learning Resource Center (LRC) is the learning hub of the school that:
- Fosters self-regulated learning;
- Provides unique opportunities for creativity, collaboration, communication, critical thinking; embracing the 4 Cs;
- Promotes the love of reading and love of learning;
- Provides a professional and authentic learning space; and
- “Lights the fire” of learning that allows for flexible grouping and mobility in learning/thinking
LRC hours & operation
- LRC hours are from 7:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. (closed Wednesday mornings for designated faculty meetings)
- The LRC is open each school day for all students.
- All students must present a valid school ID card to check out materials. All books must be checked out before they leave the LRC.
- Books are checked out for three weeks but may be renewed if needed longer. Overdue notices are sent to students each week. Students should be considerate of others who may need to use that book.
- Any books or materials stamped “For Reference Only” are to be used only in the LRC during the day. Such reference materials may be checked out for overnight use after 3:35pm. These reference materials then are due the following morning by 8:20am.
- Audiovisual and computer equipment and materials may be used in the LRC.
