Athletics

Interscholastic programs provide an opportunity for our students to compete against other schools in the area. The program emphasizes fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Jefferson Junior High is a member of the Southeast DuPage Elementary Athletic Association. We compete with Butler, Burr Ridge, Cass, Eisenhower, Gower, Lakeview, Lisle, Old Quarry, Westmont, and Westview Hills.

An activity bus is available for participating students who live more than one mile from Jefferson or south of 75th Street at 4:45pm and 5:30pm.  Only Jefferson students who participate in a school-sponsored activity are allowed to ride the activity buses.

NOTE: Students may not stay after school unless they are involved in a supervised activity. Students may not stay after buses have left to chat with friends or to watch intramurals or practices. Unsupervised students must leave school at the dismissal time of 3:35pm. Once students leave school, they may not return on that day unless they are in an evening activity, or they are supervised by a parent/guardian.
