School improvement plan

The Murphy school improvement plan focuses on:

Goal 1:  Supporting staff in the development of Collective Efficacy through Impact Teams and the Teach Measure Learn cycle

Goal 2:  Utilizing the Teach Measure Learn Cycle to identify the key vocabulary words in each grade level ELA unit and plan/implement best instructional vocabulary strategies that support students with adopting or acquiring these key vocabulary words

Goal 1:  Focusing in on building teacher collective efficacy will empower teachers, promote the sharing of teacher knowledge, and embed teacher reflective practice

Goal 2:  Focusing in on improving student vocabulary will improve student listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Planning activities that get students to adopt new vocabulary words will increase student long term retention of words

• Staff will utilize the Teacher Measure Learn cycle during their impact team meetings to carefully plan engaging lessons for students

• Staff will work as a grade level to identify key vocabulary in each ELA unit and plan activities that invite students to adopt these new words
