The Board finds and determines that the use of illicit drugs, tobacco, nicotine and the unlawful possession and use of alcohol is wrong and harmful. The Board prohibits the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of drugs and alcohol including anabolic steroids on property of the District or as part of any of its activities. Moreover, no student shall be under the influence of any substance specified herein on school premises or as part of any of its activities.

The Board further prohibits the distribution, dispensation, possession or use of drug paraphernalia, look-alike drugs, tobacco and nicotine on property of the District or as part of any of its activities. All cases of actual use, possession, sale, and distribution of tobacco, nicotine, alcohol, drugs, drug paraphernalia, controlled substances or look-alike drugs upon school property, or at school sponsored events, traveling to and from school or on school buses, will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
